We blinked and Bodie turned 5! He was so excited for his birthday this year so we tried to make it a really fun day. We started with balloons in his room for when he woke up and then did our traditional funfetti pancakes and presents. Paka came over with another gift for him to open and then the boys all worked on the latest project (a "shed" for Todd that's actually something much much better and a surprise for Bodie). Todd and Bodie went to a special bday lunch at Cafe Rio and picked out treats for Bodie to take to school (Skittles). At school they celebrated with him...treats, a bday sign, bday crown, singing and more. For dinner, Bodie chose fettucini (yes, we are pasta lovers) and we had blue bunny birthday ice cream cones for dessert with friends after taking a walk.
Bodie is seriously the sweetest and funniest kid we know. He is ALL BOY...jumping, tumbling, running, loud....but he is also very tender hearted and so good to all his friends and family. He talks NON-STOP...seriously, everyone laughs about how many stories he tells a day. He also loves to make us laugh with his silly faces, comments and noises. He loves the "Go UTES team" as he calls it, legos, football, wearing boxers to bed (like Daddy) and soccer. He still has me sing our wedding song to him every night before bed and he completely loves Jesus & God (he will tell us this multiple times a day and remind us that they are always with us...melts my heart). He will give us a kiss or hug anytime we ask and he is my little cuddle partner. He and McKayla are great buddies and they really do take care of each other (the funniest thing though is when he gets mad at her and yells "KAYLA"). We love, love, love our Bodie man and can't imagine life without him. Happy Happy 5th Birthday Bodie...may all your dreams come true!!!
