McKayla's Life

We have finally learned that it is McKayla's life and we live in it. I must admit we are happy to do so. She is growing sooo fast and is already 8 weeks today!! Her cheeks are cute and chubby and she's about the size of a large newborn now (around 8 lbs). She smiles all the time and coos a lot more. She can focus on objects and lights and loves looking at her mobiles. She can also grab things and has learned that sucking on her hands really is a fun thing to do. We absolutely love watching her learn all these new things!!!

Todd's Promotion

So I've posted a ton about McKayla, but there are definitely other things going on in our lives as well. I had to do a quick post to let everyone know about Todd's promotion. He actually recieved it 2 days after McKayla was born. He is now the GM of Market Street Broiler (it's the Gastronomy restaurant by the UofU). He has a lot to do and has been working very hard, but he's enjoying the challenge and is doing a great job. I'm sooo proud of him!!! You should all stop by for a great bite to eat when you're around there and make sure to ask for him so he can come say hello :-). It's the perfect place to eat before the U Football games ;-)

Baby Play Date

McKayla had her first baby play date yesterday with Liam and Lily (babies of Gloria and Krissy). They were all so cute together and I just know it's going to be so fun watching them grow up together! McKayla is the oldest, then Liam, then Lily (although you can't tell by looking at them...our little peanut is still pretty itty bitty).

McKayla-1 month old

McKayla is 1 month today! She's growing so fast and we notice something new every day. She focuses so well already and has begun to stay awake more often throughout the day. She smiles all the time (which warms my heart every time!) and she's so strong! We love her more and more every day!!!

Animal lovin

So Beamer and Sadie were cuddly before, but holy cow are they cuddly now! Ever since McKayla came around they are sleeping together and cleaning each other more and more. Our bed is insanely crowded now with all 5 of us sleeping in it EVERY night...we wouldn't have it any other way though!!
