Bodie Soccer

Pretty sure Todd has been dreaming of coaching his kid's soccer team before the kids were born :-). We were so excited when we saw the schedule for Bodie's team and realized that even with his crazy schedule Todd could be the coach. The kids and I made posters for McKayla and her friends to hold up during the game and let me tell you...those suckers glitter like you wouldn't believe.
We had our first game this week and it was so much fun. Todd and Bodie had a blast and Bodie has said he will be calling Todd "coach" on game days. McKayla was such a big helper at the game that the other parents named her the official assistant coach and cheerleader. I can't tell you the joy it brought me to cheer my boys on and play "soccer mom"!!! We are really looking forward to more games and more fun.
Side Note: our team consists of 3 and 4 years olds and I'm pretty sure we got the most "just turned 3 year olds" possible...it's pretty funny to see how much younger they really are than the 4 year olds...the poor things have no concept of even how to kick the ball, but they try and as long as they are having fun that is what is important. Todd was SO good about watching out for each kid...taking care of boo boos, crying, wandering and going the wrong direction. All the parents said he did a fantastic job and one little girl even came up and hugged his leg during the game :-).
Practice before the game

Team huddle (I love Bodie's arm on TJ here and our little Kayla helper)

Easter 2015

I LOVE Easter! It is such a special holiday and such a great point to step back and take time to remember the sacrifice that was made for us. I loved talking to the kids about Jesus and what he did because they really started to understand it this year. We spent the day with family...church, brunch, dinner and with the weather being so warm we were able to just sit outside and play while we soaked up the sunshine. I am so grateful for all our blessings and so thankful that I have been able to become closer to Christ over the past couple of years. I have found such pleasure in hearing about Him in my children's words this past year when they get out of Sunday school...their perspective is so pure and innocent and it has helped me to take my perspective back to that.
