Christmas Day
McKayla's face was priceless Christmas morning. She was so excited and she kept saying "thank you" to us and "Happy Birthday Jesus". We opened gifts at our house, went to my parents to open gifts with my family and have brunch, came back home for awhile and then went back to my parents to have dinner with my fam and Nick's parents. It was such a great family day and I was really impressed at how grateful and sweet McKayla was about everything she got. Interesting to mom how Santa brought so many LOUD toys though....our house is a never ending song of guitar, cd player, radio and more. Bodie slept most of the day, but he enjoyed watching all the action when he was awake and he was smiling a ton. Todd got me a Nikon D500 for Christmas this year (LOVE THAT MAN) and I've had so much fun playing around with it (I can't believe how much better the pictures are). I got him an entertainment stand so he could bring our nice tv and sound system up from the basement (we never used it down there). By far our best gifts to each other are our kiddos though...they are the light of our days and we are having so much fun with all our family time recently!!!! We hope all our family and friends had a wonderful Christmas too :-)

Christmas Eve
Todd unfortunately had to work on Christmas Eve, but McKayla, Bodie and I got to spend it with family. We went to the children's mass at my parents church (craziness I tell ya!) and McKayla loved going up to hear Father Dave read a Christmas story (she also loved getting a cookie from Father Dave when she went up to be blessed). She was hilarious during the songs too...just singing away all on her own and enjoying every minute of it. After church we went to Nick's parents house for their annual Christmas Eve party and McKayla got a new camera from YaYa and Papu and some Christmas PJs from us. Todd made it home at the same time as us so I was able to enjoy some time with him before heading to bed...and play Santa's helpers together :-).

Grand America
After having a fabulous breakfast at Todd's restaurant, my mom and I decided to take the kids over to Grand America to check out there Christmas decor. They had some really pretty stuff and some fun Gingerbread houses that people had donated. McKayla also loved the toy shop :-)
She looks like a jailbird who stole the police car :-)
Santa!
I attempted to take the kids to Santa for a picture by myself (dumb or brave, I dunno). They were both dressed cute, happy as could be and there was one person in line..PERFECT (I should have known this was too perfect). Just as we get up there the little boy in front of us freaks out when he gets near Santa and this in turn scares McKayla so Santa is no longer to appealing to her (she was happy as can be about him 2 seconds earlier). I tried to get her near him and she wasn't haven't it...so we left. I walked around the mall for awhile and then went back for another try, but she still wasn't having it. I figured I might as well still get a picture of Bodie with Santa so we did that and they turned out cute. I went back to the mall the next day with reinforcement (i.e. Todd) and although McKayla wouldn't sit in Santa's lap we did get a picture. She also talked to him after and liked him by the end (expecially when he gave her a coloring book).

St. George Trip
Todd and I decided last minute to head down to St. George on his days off (we needed to get away if even just for a couple days). We went down Saturday night after Todd got off (it was so pitch black driving, which was a little scary, but at least the kids slept most of the way). We finally introduced McKayla to the "TV" we have in the car and she thought it was awesome. Todd got to ride his bike a couple times, we got to go in the spa, met up with a friend for dinner and checked out the outlets (where I will tell you Todd bought WAY more than I did) and played in the sand. It was a very quick trip and we would have liked to be able to stay longer and see more people we know down there, but it was fabulous weather (sunny skies and 60s) and we enjoyed taking Bodie on his first trip and having our first family trip with all four of us. The only kicker was when poor McKayla threw up all over me and herself in the restaurant...luckily we were already paying and ready to go so I discretely cleaned it up and we took off. She only got sick one more time that night, but it made for a long night b/c Todd and I jumped any time she moved. Anyhoo, we got a great hotel for a great price, free breakfast (I love this) and some good time away :-)

Helping Dad get ready for his ride
I'm so lucky to wake up to these 2 in the morning (and my wonderful hubby)!

Bodie- 2 months
Our little Bodie man is 2 months old! He's eating ALL the time and growing like a weed...10 lbs. 12 oz. and 23 1/4 inches to be exact :-). He's a great baby and is sleeping better at night; he goes down and sleeps about 4 hours, wakes up to eat and then wakes up every 2 hours after that. He is smiling a ton now and very curious about the world around him (he especially likes looking at lights). He loves to be held, but he's very strong and can push off you or throw himself out of your arms in a flash. He can give the best sad face and cry you have ever seen (totally dramatic with a fully jutted out bottom lip). He likes riding in the car and will almost always fall asleep in there. He doesn't sleep in his crib yet, but has found he likes the swing the best. We absolutely love our little man and love watching him grow. McKayla still loves him very much and is always helpful wanting to take care of him (he loves watching her too).

Festival of Trees
McKayla, Bodie and I went to the festival of trees with my mom. The trees were amazing and McKayla had a lot of fun in the kids corner.
