SF Day 2,3,4

Watching the rain from the window seat in our room (I was in love watching them)
Luckily, Kayla and I brought our wellies and umbrellas ;-)
First stop...Starbucks
Walking to Ghirardelli Square
Exploring around the square
Breakfast on the water at an Irish Pub that TJ wanted to try
Checking out the live crabs on the Warf
We HAD to go back and see the Sea Lions again
And Lombard street was a must

Remember that we watch Full House every night?? Well Todd found the actual house for us :-)

And if you've seen in then you know the Painted Ladies are in the opening scene too, so we of course had to see them

We drove by the Cathedral
And then on the Bay Bridge to head over to my family
Bodie brought flowers for Great Grandma

We went to my cousin's Lacrosse games and the kids had a blast running around
We went by my Elementary school
The first house I grew up in
And my second house (my room was the one on the left)
BBQ and swim party at my Uncle's house

Bodie challenged the older boys to a push up contest

Brunch at the country club with cousins

I am SO grateful for the time my children are getting with my Grandparents. They have been a huge part of my life and such a wonderful influence and blessing...love my G&G :-)
After brunch, Kayla and I flew back home...the boys dropped us off at the airport and then took off for their next adventure...
They invited Kayla into the cockpit when we boarded and the pilot gave her wings, a flier card and cookies...to say she was elated would be an understatement. She was already so giddy and excited in the airport and this was the cherry on top (she hasn't flown for awhile so she was pumped up)

San Francisco here we come...

Todd randomly got a week off work and we were both ready to get outta town....so we booked a last minute trip to San Francisco. The kids hadn't been there before and we could see my grandparents and family...win win. We packed everything we could into our time in the city and then headed inland to spend a few days with my family showing the kids around where I grew up. We had SO much fun and are super happy we decided to do it. We seriously ate our way through SF and it was ALL yummy (side note: we were super proud of the kids for being adventurous and trying all the different food).
We drove to Reno for the first night and this was the sunset as we went
17 years after meeting in this town we are back again (with some extra cargo)

These two are so good in the car
We went to the Golden Gate Bridge first (the kids watch 1 episode of Full House every night so this was super fun for them to see in person)

We checked out the old forts and Bodie was SO curious about them and how they fought off the bad guys

Next we drove over the GG bridge to get to SF

We quickly checked into our room and headed out for the day

The kids first trolley ride

Lunch in China town

Showing off their China town goodies (M got a dress and parasaul and B got cards and a war ax)

We walked by St. Mary's

And then on to Union Square

Stopped at Lefty O'Douls for a yummy drink

Then took another Trolley back to the water
Next up was Fisherman's Warf

We had to stop and try what was claimed to be SF's best ice cream sandwiches

They really were THAT good!
We went over to the shipyard

And got to actually go on one of the old ships

Checking out the inside of the ship

Looking out at Alchatraz

Then we had to go see the Sea Lions

There were babies and they were SO cute (there was also one pushing all the other off so Bodie named him Big Bully)

We had cocktails (i.e. shirley temples) and calamari on the Warf

And watched a street performer
We played in the sand for a minute
Then we got a bike ride to Little Italy for dinner
We took an Uber home from dinner b/c we were all WIPED after a long and fun day
Bodie loved the art in our room ;-)
All snuggled up after a very adventurous day
