Well hello stranger...

Todd actually got the day off yesterday (minus the emails and phone calls he had to do) and we enjoyed actually seeing him for awhile. The kids had a blast hanging out with him, goofing around and playing football in the family room (eek!). We also went to lunch and all had such a great time. We miss him lots these days, but we know it'll get better once he gets settled down in the new job :-)

Weekend

Our weekend consisted of a crazy snowstorm that landed Todd snowed in at work (McKayla was sad about this, but then she realized this meant she got to sleep with me so she was very excited about that), lots of shoveling for me (the snowblower was out of gas and I had no hubby around to help me get it going so I did it the old fashion way...and I can feel it today!), snow play with the kids (which included building a snow turtle) and time with friends and my mom, a Costco run in the crazy snowstorm (when you need milk you gotta be brave...HA!) My girlfriends were nice enough to let me bring my kiddos to BUNCO and I can't thank them enough cause I REALLY enjoyed my girl time :-).

Happy Birthday Todd!

Todd turned the big 35 today :-). Although he didn't seem so happy about that number I told him to look at all he's accomplished and that he should be very proud. To think about where we were just 6 years ago and where he has guided this family since then really is amazing. He is such and incredibly hard worker and I couldn't be more proud of him for how much he has done in his career (and what that means for our family). This year is a big one for us and means many changes (some have already happened and others I see happening in the next 12 months or so). Todd has worked harder than I could even tell you in the past 18 months to really put our lifestyle and family in an incredible place and I could never thank him enough. I've always said he's the smarter one in the relationship :-) and boy did he prove it. There is no other partner I'd rather journey through life with and no other man who could take care of me and the kids so well. Today Todd is 35 years young and just beginning his greatness....I have all the confidence in the world that he will do so much. Just reading the notes on his goodbye cards from his staff at Market Street showed me how great a leader he is and how well he does his job.

Valentines Day & Sadie's Bday

Valentines was full of kisses, dancing, love and lots of sugar. The kids and I got to see Todd a little in the morning and then they were off to school for parties while Todd and I were off to work. For dinner the kiddos and I spent the evening with my parents. The kids got so much loot and had a great time at their parties. I got a fun little girly wallet (all pink Kate Spade...yes, please) and a new phone (ok, this one was not planned...I dropped my phone in water...BOO...it was a goner so I had to buy a new one...double BOO!!). V-day is also Sadie's birthday so she got some extra love, a nice walk and birthday bones. Hope everyone got lots of love and kisses!!

Todd got free tickets to the Utah Gymnastics meet on Saturday so we took the kids and our friends. The girls had an AWESOME time together and Bodie even enjoyed it. It was definitely worth battling the snow storm and the timing of the meet was perfect...just long enough, but not too long or late for the kids.
