Best Friends loose teeth together

It just so happens one of McKayla's besties "Lilly" lost her same tooth at the same time as McKayla. They pretty much think this is the coolest thing ever :-).

Love these cute girls!

Clhoe wanted in on the action ;-)

Our girls were SO excited Andi picked Josh...not sure what we are creating here, but it's sure funny to watch them and listen to their commentary on Bachelor nights :-)

Bees Game

Every year I take my interns to a Bees Game and this year the kids were able to come along. They loved hanging out in the suite (they definitely thought they owned the place), meeting my work friends and of course saying hi to "Bumble". I'm pretty sure they think I have the best job in the world between this event and the Halloween one they come to...parties all the time for mom ;-).

Watching cartoons and the bball game with endless snacks..nothing better for these two

Day Date

Todd asked me to take some PTO so we could go on a "day" date this past Monday. We haven't been on a date in a loong time due to crazy schedules so I was super excited to get some time alone with him. He took me up to Snowbird where we got to ride the tram up to the top and then a Ranger over to some horses. From there, we went on an hour long private horseback ride on the back of Snowbird. It was so beautiful and peaceful up there...it felt like we were worlds away. The wild flowers are just coming out which makes for gorgeous scenery along the ride. We didn't see too much wildlife, but we were able to see a few small animals and one deer. We also got to watch a huge storm roll in...and just barely beat it back. We ended up stuck on the tram at the top due to the severe rain, but made it down in time to grab a quick bite and beer before we went to get the kids. It was by far one of my favorite dates ever with TJ!

We were led by a true cowboy and cowgirl...they were so nice

Now stuck...this is as far as we could see with the heavy rain and clouds

Cheers!

Natural Waterslides

We went to some Natural Waterslides in Alpine with Todd's fam this past weekend and had so much fun. The water was super cold, but it was so hot outside it felt great. We also got to do some shopping at the outlets afterward and stopped for a yummy milkshake along the way.

Bodie and Todd were the first ones to go down

24th of July Celebrations

I took the 24th off this year so we could attend some BBQ's with friends and family. We had a great time between waterslides, BBQing and fireworks. Our neighborhood also did their annual breakfast and parade...this was the 1st year both the kids rode their bikes in the parades and they had a wonderful time (ok, Bodie was whiny most the time...guess he woke up too early, but he'll still tell you he had fun) :-)

Another one gone

McKayla lost another tooth (well the dentist pulled it out because it was hanging on by a thread) and this time it was a top one...I do a double take every time I see her now and it's so funny to hear her say certain words :-). The dentist also told us to plan for braces in a year or two....I think the poor girl got my mouth (small jaw so the teeth don't all fit). I'm hoping she can avoid getting some pulled the way I did since they'll be starting her early (he said they can maneuver her teeth/jaw when she's still young compared to if we did it later).

Lagoon Day

Sunday was Catholic Day at Lagoon so we decided to take the kids over for their first time. We stopped for lunch and then headed into the park. We started off in the kid area where the kids rode on some smaller rides and then we headed to the first "roller coaster". It was one of those ones that goes way up high and then suddenly drops...it was taller than Todd and I thought and even made our stomaches drop, but the kids loved it. We went over to the waterpark for awhile after that to cool off. The kids had a great time swimming around and going down the small slides. McKayla tried out a bigger slide with Todd and it ended up being way more intense than we anticipated...it was an enclosed tube, went pretty fast and she had to go down alone. When she got off she looked like she was about to cry and I felt horrible, but Todd scooped her up in his arms telling her how proud we were and she got a huge smile on her face.
From there, we went back into the park for an awesome roller coaster, the ferris wheel and some other rides. Todd also went on a few "adult" rides including one of the craziest ones there (see the video below). It started raining really hard after that so we ran over to the bumper cars for one quick ride and then headed out. We stopped for dinner on the way home and let the kids get a huge, yummy dessert for being so good all day.
We had hesitated originally about taking the kids, but in the end we were so glad we did. We had an awesome family day and the kids loved all the rides...even the scary ones. And when we got home....we crashed and slept very well ;-).
TJ and Kayla went on the hanging roller coaster while B and I went on the shark ride (B wasn't tall enough)

Ready for their ride

The kids and I went on this while TJ hit up a roller coaster (this went SO much faster than I anticipated)
