Black Island Farms

This weekend we went back to Black Island Farms for some family fun. It was totally worth the second trip and the kids had a great time. We started with a private tractor ride which took us to a field to each pick out whatever pumpkin we wanted. From there the kids did all the slides, swings and games. We had some lunch and then the kids got to help out with the pig races (so funny and sad at the same time). We got lost in the huge corn maze (I have to brag that I'm the one that got us out...Todd was in disbelief) and then did the slides a couple more times. In all I think we spent about 3 1/2 hours there and we had such a great time. I would HIGHLY recommend taking your family/kids there and if you can do a Sunday I would definitely recommend it (my boss said the lines are SUPER long on Saturdays, but we didn't have to wait in line for anything).

Our weekend

The kids and I had a busy little weekend and we got to see Todd a little in there too. Friday night was filled with the birthday party of one of McKayla's best friends. The kids enjoyed pizza, cake and a bounce house while I got to catch up with my girlfriends. Saturday started off with dance and errands and then we went to a neighbors birthday party. From there we headed over to my parent's house for a b-day party for my brother (LOVED seeing him and the kids absolutely love when he's in town) and the Utah game. On Sunday we went about 45 minutes north for a farm we were told was really fun. Unfortunately, they had their advertisement wrong and they weren't open. We did get to meet the owner and he felt really bad so he let us go see the animals and pick out pumpkins. He told us to come next weekend and he would give a private tour and make it worth the second drive so we're looking forward to a fun Sunday this week. Since we had promised the kids a fun time and we were all ready up north we decided to take them to the Air plane museum. Yet again, we arrived to find it was closed (even though the sign on the closed gate said they should be open). Bummer!! We decided to head home at that point and actually ended up at a friends house for the rest of the night where we all had a really good time. I must have been having fun at everything this weekend b/c the only pictures I got were at the farm :-).
