Wheeler Farm, Spooky Lights and Halloween Brownies

We've had a fun Halloween week so far. On Monday, we went to Cafe Rio for dinner and then to Wheeler Farm for a Hay Maze, Wagon Ride, and Pumpkin Patch. McKayla did a great job of leading us through the maze and Bodie loved laying back with a warm bottle on the wagon ride. McKayla also thought it was very funny how bad the "cow pies" smelled and she made sure that we all plugged our noses as we walked by to say hello to the cows. She informed us that her favorite are the black and white ones. On Tuesday night, we made spooky brownies (brownies that McKayla decorated with LOTS of Halloween sprinkles) and went to see a spooky light show at my work plant guy's house (he does a great Halloween and Christmas show...there are sooo many lights and animated shows with music). Bodie loved the music show and was bouncing up and down while squealing with delight. We also got to meet Pickle Juice while we were there (he's a very nice skeleton). We certainly love Halloween time and have made sure this year to tell McKayla things are "spooky" not "scary" so that she can enjoy all the fun activites...which she has :-).

Smores w/ friends

Last night was such a perfect evening so we did smores with some of our friends! There was a nice chill in the air and we were able to really enjoy the firepit, yummy smores and catching up with great friends :-)

Witchy Fun at Gardner Village

McKayla 3, Bodie 1

Bodie- 1 Year doctor appt.

Bodie went to his 1 year appointment today. He is 21 lbs 3 oz (25 %) and 31 inches (60%) so he's definitely a growing boy :-). Everything else looked great and the doctor was fine with us putting him on milk now (which is good b/c we have been this past week and he loves it). Poor little guy had to get 4 shots, but he only cried for a second when it happened and then he was his happy little self again. We were so happy to hear that she agreed he is a happy and healthy little guy!

Perfect

Todd's been out of town this week so the kids and I talk to him every night. Last night when he asked McKayla how her day was she just simply said, "Perfect" in her cute little voice. It made me smile so big and warmed my heart....it also made me realize to have a perfect day all you need to do is have the right outlook on life :-)

Bodie's 1st Bday Party

It was a Monster Party for Bodie this year. Monster's were everywhere and everyone had a great time. Our family and friends made the day very special for Bodie and he had a blast playing with all the kids and adults. He didn't quite know what to do with his cake at first (coudl be that we woke him up after he had slept through the first part of the party so he was still sleepy)...so he decided to dig in...feet first :-). We really appreciate all the love and support for Bodie and it was so special to have all of his grandparents there! A special thank you to my mom for helping me with soooo much for the party set up!!!!
