Bodie James Johnson

Bodie James Johnson was born Friday, October 8, 2010 at 3:30pm. He was 6lbs 2 oz and 18 in. Labor and delivery went well and lasted about 7 hours. We went in to be induced at 7:15am only to find out I was already having regular contractions. They broke my water at about 8:45 and gave me 2 hours to try and go on my own. Unfortunately, I didn't get going enough so they started the pitocin at 10:45am. Bodie cried right away and had a fabulous sounding cry...he also got a great apgar score of 9. McKayla came to meet her brother shortly later and brought him a teddy bear. She also recieved her own baby. Bodie has jaundice like McKayla did so we had to stay in the hospital one extra day and we have to take him back to get tested a couple times, but we were able to come home today (Monday). We've had a great first day home and McKayla is so good with him. She loves holding him, bringing him his blanket and helping change him. She calls him baby Bodie and is very proud of him when people come to visit. We are so incredibly happy and feel so complete with our little boy. He's a great eater and has a really chill attitude. We are so excited for all the family times to come and very appreciative of everyone's well wishes!!
