McKayla is 9!!

Our sweet baby girl is 9...and really not a baby at all. McKayla is such a special and wonderful girl. She is helpful around the house and with Bodie. She loves the animals, cooking, putting on shows for us, playing with her friends, inquiring about my makeup (and trying it on!), decorating her room, going to Starbucks with mom...and Cafe Rio with Dad, swimming, Legos, art, dance and tumble. She loves school and is happy to go every day. We have definitely noticed her "growing up" more and have entrusted her with some new responsilbilities which she has eagerly accepted and done well with. She will still cuddle with me (which I expect her to do for her whole life of course) and give me kisses before leaving for school. She has a good relationship with the Lord and likes to read her devotional before bed. We love our McKayla more than we could ever say and are so proud of all she has accomplished thus far. We pray the Lord will continue to bless and look over her through all her life experiences.
We did a "Dressed to the 9's" Fashion themed party this year

All the girls came dressed up and then went through to add accessories

They did 4 darling fashion shows for the adults

Then it was presents

Kayla chose cupcakes this year

She gave each girl a chocolate McKayla couture clutch, lipgloss and a pearl necklace
Kayla chose to take donuts to school to celebrate and Dove chocolate to daycare

Opening our gifts to her the morning of her bday

Bodie was incredibly sweet about her gift this year...he had me drive him to the store and he picked out exactly what he wanted to give her

She's officially 9!

We met my family for a bday breakfast complete with this yummy hot chocolate

And a cute little bday sign on her plate

Then she took us to the trampoline park

And off to swim after that

She found one of her besties at the pool too

We got cleaned up and headed to Cafe Rio for dinner

Then we went to Justice where she got some new slippers and did her makeup (BTW, she looks SO grown up to me in this picture)

We ended the day at Bake Bear for some yummy treats....after that we CRASHED at home...such a fun day celebrating our girl!
