Pebble Beach/Carmel

We had a wonderful time in Pebble Beach/Carmel/Monterey this week. We went down there for 4 days (Meg had a business mtg. one day) to spend some romantic time before the little one comes. We enjoyed walking around the little shops, going to the aqaurium, walking on the beach, sitting by our room fireplaces, driving the 17 mile at Pebble Beach and relaxing. We stayed at the Carmel Valley Ranch the first night...so fun. It was secluded and wonderful...we got a condo type room with a great view of the property which was huge (even had a gated entrance). The next 2 nights we stayed at the Tickle Pink Inn which is located on the cliff tops in Carmel Highlands. The view was amazing and the room so romantic. We had some great food and tons of treats (Meg is addicted to sugar now-a-days). Todd went horseback riding in the hills and on the beach one day (while I was at my mtg.). Our little baby girl was very active during the trip and Todd got to feel her kick a couple times (he was anxiously awaiting this). We bought her a darling pink shirt from Carmel to mark the occasion.

And we have a....

Well the appointment went well today! The baby was sleeping last time we had an ultrasound so I drank some sprite beforehand this time to see if I could get it moving, and it was moving a bunch (trying to grab its feet and everything). The brain and heart looked great and the baby is measuring at 8 inches and 9 ounces. Oh yeah, I guess there is one more detail we have now....we are having a little girl. We are so incredibly excited and thrilled and we can't wait to get started on the nursery. It becomes more real every day between feeling the baby move and now knowing the gender. Love to all!!

Tulip festival??

I went to the Tulip festival with Michelle, Julie and Ryan this weekend. Only problem...there weren't any tulips out yet!! Oh well, I still got some other pictures of the neat water features at Thanksgiving point and the family.

Sleepy boy & picture ready girl

So Beamer found the perfect pillow the other night and we just had to take a picture of his cute set up (not that I would use a remote but hey, it worked for him). As Todd pulled out the camera, Sadie got herself all posed and perfect ready for her picture to be taken (can you say spoiled much). She was so picture ready (she even positioned her toy just right) so we had to take her picture too. They definitely are our babies!!

The big day

Well, May 1st is the big day when we'll find out the gender of the baby. We're still not feeling a definite one way or the other, although Todd has said "boy" from the beginning :-). Most friends and family are guessing girl...we'll see who is right ;-). Either way we are getting more excited every day!
Oh yeah, the baby is definitely moving around now...I can feel it quite often...such an amazing feeling!

Where did that come from???

OK, I can't believe I'm going to do this, but people keep asking. So here is the lovely baby bump thus far (all of a sudden it just kindu appeared). I'm still in all of my normal clothes and you can't tell too much, but I certainly know it's there! Please do note that these pictures were taken after a big brunch ;-).

Bun in the Oven

Yup, that's right. We are expecting a new little addition to our family in September 2008. We will be finding out the gender so stay tuned for updates!! We're both very excited and have already recieved so much support and joy from our friends and family!
