Feels like Home

We went to Market Street for brunch on Sunday and it felt so "normal". I got a little sad, but for Todd it confirmed his decision to move on. The kids loved being there and definitely still thought they owned the place ;-).

Bunny Friend

Poor McKayla came down with the flu again last week (insert frustration here). I was up all night with her and unfortunately it lasted all through the next day. She took a long nap and I thought for sure she'd feel better when she woke up, but she was still hanging over her bowl and saying her tummy hurt....UNTIL....I looked in our backyard and saw our neighbor's bunny. I asked McKayla to quickly come outside and see something. From the second she saw the bunny she totally forgot about being sick. We played with the bunny for a little bit and gave him a carrot before taking him back home. I truly feel like the Lord sent that little guy over because he knew we needed something to pull us out of the flu rut :-).

Easter 2013

Easter consisted of our usual traditions this year (I'm a big traditions girl). Todd had to work so we did baskets with him in the morning (I had to wake the kiddos up, but they didn't mind once they saw the bunny paw print, jelly bean trail and goodies from the Easter bunny). From there, we went to church for Easter Mass and an easter egg hunt with my parents. We then went to Easter brunch at Snowbird with my family and my sister's in-laws. The kids loved being at Dad's work again and it helped it feel like we got to see him a little more for Easter. They got to see the Easter bunny at church and Snowbird..he's a fast hopper that one :-) and they even got more treats and baskets from Gigi and YaiYai at breakfast. The rest of the day consisted of naps and outside play time (the weather was SO nice) and although Todd didn't make it home until after we were asleep we did leave him a fun picture on the driveway ;-).
And he's off...he loved grabbing all the eggs

Little Ski Bunny

We went up to Snowbird on Saturday and took McKayla skiing for her first time. She rocked the slopes and she totally loved it! She was pretty bummed on Sunday when she couldn't go again (we were up there again for brunch) ;-). She will definitely be growing up on the mountain and we are so glad she has already taken to it so well (she was SO proud that she made it down a couple times without falling at all)! Very proud of our Kayla Bear!!!
