Bodie Pre-School

Bodie is in Pre-School!!! He has been so excited to transfer to the pre-school class and is even more thrilled that on his 3rd day he gets to go on his first field trip. Another fun part is that McKayla is in his classroom at daycare half of the day with him. I really can't believe that Bodie is in pre-school and learning so much more about letters, numbers, ect. We are really excited to see how he grows this year and McKayla loves being a 2nd little mom and teacher to him ;-). I chose these pictures b/c each shows a different part of his personality...funny, sweet, wild. And I of course had to post the nose one :-)

Bodie Bday celebrations

Bodie's bday celebrations started last weekend with a Super Hero party. We surprised him with a bounce house and Batman coming on his motorcycle (thank you to my brother-in-law for being Batman!). He also had a pinata and got to play with his new train table from my parents (huge hit!). Watching him have a day dedicated to him was so much fun...you could see the excitment in his eyes and he said "thank you" so much to everyone.

On his actual birthday he woke up to streamers hanging from his door and he had to run through them and some balloons to get out. We took him to a local family favorite cafe for breakfast where he got mickey mouse blueberry pancakes and they even gave him a lollipop on the way out. on the way home he had us sing "Happy Birthday" to him in the car 3 times. Later in the day Bodie chose to go get milkshakes, tacos for dinner and go to a movie. We ended the night playing with his new toys, reading books and cuddling.

On Thursday, he took treats to daycare to share with his friends. He chose chocolate donut holes and was SOOO excited to share them with the class who sang him Happy Birthday. He also said he got to be the line leader all day...this made him very proud :-).

Happy 4th Birthday Bodie!

Our Bodie man is 4 today!! He is such a great kid and he bring so much fun and laughter to our lives. Here are some fun facts about Bodie at 4...

1. He is one of the most polite kids I know...he will always use please, thank you and you're welcome
2. He loves to wrestle around with Todd and loves to cuddle with me
3. He loves to read books and is learning a lot from us teaching McKayla how to read
4. He likes saying family prayers and is loving Sunday school. His versions of the bible stories are so funny to hear
5. He counts up to 25 without help and can go further if we're helping
6. He is 37.5 lbs. and 41.5 in.
7. He loves to play pretend with McKayla and is usually the Dad or the baby (and many times some type of animal). He's very into cars, dinosaurs, riding his bike and playing in the sandbox.
8. He's a great sleeper and insists on a song, hug and kiss before bed
9. He has a little group of best friends at daycare along with a couple little "girlfriends". He always says I'm #1 girlfriend though so we're all good ;-)
10. His use of words is so stinking cute right now ("my did it", "her did it", ect.)...my mom and I love listening to him tell stories (and he tells A LOT of stories...most car rides he's talking the whole time)
Words cannot express our love for Bodie. He is a rough and tough little man with a kind heart. His love of making people laugh is so fun and his kisses are something I live for every day. Watching him grow and learn brings us so much joy...he's our Bodie man/buddy/B man/Big B/Bodie bode. We are so excited to watch him start new things this year like soccer and pre-school.
