Last week was one of the most challenging weeks Todd and I have ever had...and actually, the last two weeks would go into that catagory. After much thought, looking, prayer and faith we decided to sell our house and embark on a new adventure. We were supposed to close on the house the weekend Kayla ended up having her appendix out (so thankful it got pushed back), but ended up closing last Thursday and having to be out of the house on Friday by noon.
Todd had his busiest event of the year for work on Sunday and I had mine on Thursday so our work schedules were definitely not conducive to us being home packing, but we got it done working together, around the clock and with help from family.
Along with the craziness of moving, poor Bodie started throwing up on Thursday night and continued throughout the day on Friday (I felt SOOO bad dragging him around when he felt so crummy), McKayla's music performance got moved 30 minutes earlier at school without anyone telling us (hence, I missed it and felt like an even worse mother that day) and I came down with the stomach flu on Saturday night (although it didn't last as long as Bodie's, I couldn't even get out of bed on Sunday so my sweet parents and TJ took care of the kids all day for me). By Sunday night, we were absolutely drained beyond what we could have ever imagined, but we were completely out of our house and settled into my parents (yep, that's where we are staying for 4 weeks).
Now for the good stuff!! As we sat in our closing for our old house, we went under contract on a new house. We are super excited and hope to be moving in by mid-June. We love the neighborhood and plan on raising our kiddos there for many years to come.
