Happy Birthday TJ

Last Saturday was Todd's 32nd birthday so we went to Nick's (my sis' finacee) family cabin for a long weekend. It was so pretty up there and it snowed off and on the whole time. Their cabin is absolutely beautiful (it really doesn't even qulaify as a cabin with it's 3 floors, steam shower, game room & bar, loft, 5 bedrooms, ect.). We got to go on the snowmobiles (and of course, I was THAT PERSON who rolled the snowmobile...luckily Todd was on back and threw me off before it rolled on top of me), sit by the fire pit outside, watch the Olympics, dance and dance some more, and eat yummy meals. Poor Kayla got sick the first night (just like last time) so my mom and I got very little sleep, but we still had a blast. Todd got gear for his dirt bike he's getting this spring, money, a blower for all our stinkin leaves and some other fun stuff. He also got his ice cream cake that was very yummy (McKayla looooved it). Apart from almost being hit by a jackknifing semi on the way home and Kayla being sick (BTW-the reason you see binkie & bottle) the weekend was perfect :-)

Valentines and Sadie's Bday

Happy Valentines and Happy 3rd Birthday Sadie! We had a fun weekend celebrating Valentines and on Sunday we also celebrated Sadie's Bday. We always take Sadie to a little Ma & Pa dog bakery for her birthday and she picks out a bone and gets a heart shape cookie. Since the 14th was a Sunday this year, we took her to Petsmart to get the bone and then Todd and McKayla took her to the bakery Monday morning and got her cookies. She also got to play with her "cousins", Tank and Nikki, on Sunday night and she went to Tanner Park with Todd on Sunday.
On Friday McKayla made the sweetest Valentine card with Ally, Vaughn and Katie (she also made one earlier in the week with Gigi). On Sunday, Kayla and I went to church (where she proceeded to be chased by a little boy the whole time...guess he wanted her to be his Valentine) while Todd had to go into work, but when Todd got home we made our traditional choc. chip pancakes, which McKayla absolutely loved, and Todd brought me the most fabulous choc. covered strawberry. We went out later and helped McKayla deliver her Valentines to her friends and then we went to my parents house for dinner (Todd had to go back into work). McKayla got a darling balloon and treats from Paka and Gigi and she got a heart necklace and bracelet from us. Todd finally got off work for the night so we headed home and watched the Olympics until bed. I can't believe it was just last year on Valentines that Kayla tried her first solid food...man how time flies!

3rd Anniversary

3 years married and 10 years total together...WOW! Since both of us have to work on our actually anniversary we decided to go to dinner on Monday evening. We went to Cucina Toscana which is a little italian place downtown. The time spent together was fabulous...the restaurant, not so much. They have you packed in there like sardines (although I did ask for a more private table so we were more like 4 feet away from the table next to us rather than 1). The waitress was a burley woman who looked like she should be a prison gaurd. She didn't have a personality at all and didn't seem to care much. We had brought a nice bottle of wine and when she finally went to pour us another glass she ended up pouring Todd's portion in his water glass that was filled with water. Mistakes happen so we were cool about it figuring she would tell the manager and they would bring Todd a glass of wine..WRONG...they didn't even waive the corckage fee!! When our dessert came out it was so dry we couldn't finish it. Needless to say we are going to go to the New Yorker in February and redo our little dinner somewhere we know will be actual fine dining (sorry to all you who like Cucina, but I will NEVER go back and I know we're not the only ones). Todd also bought me some beautiful flowers :-). Here's to many more years and better dinners :-)!

With our best accomplishment in 3 years
Still madly in love!

Hi, my name is Megan

I have decided to succumb to the fact that I am a new person. I have blamed some things on pregnancy for 16+ months and I'm afraid I can no longer make that claim.
Hello, my name is Megan. I run into walls, furniture and doors almost daily.
I forget things I said just a minute ago, forget dates, forget what you told me yesterday and find myself confused. My mind wanders and I'm not quite sure where it's gone...in fact, it might be gone forever. My husband can often be found laughing at me or shaking is head at a question I have asked.
Well there you have it....now you know...so please don't be offended if I seem spacey when talking with you or forget what you've told me. Maybe I'll just pull the blonde card from now on ;-0.

Weekend fun

On Saturday McKayla had a friends birthday party to go to and she had a great time there. She made a Valentine for Daddy, ate pizza and cake and I let her have a caprisun (sugar overload that day). After that we went bridesmaid dress shopping with Gigi and Aunt Nonnie and played at Paka and Gigis for awhile. Todd got off early that night too so we were able to have Jacquelyn and Nick come over and even Nick's parents for a little bit. McKayla loved the audience and was a wild woman that night!
On Sunday, Todd let me sleep in and made me breakfast (love that man). Todd's brother, Allan, is in town so he came over and we took McKayla sledding for her first time. She thought it was so much fun and laughed every time she went down (even the time she and I ended up doing half the hill backward and almost eating it). After that, we met up with Todd's sis, Michelle, and took her dog and Sadie to Tanner park. We had pizza back at our house and by the time Michelle and Allan took off Kayla was SO pooped and ready for bed.

Wild woman decided to ride her pony like a circus woman (she came up w/ the idea all by herself and just put her feet on the back and stood up)

Shopping

I loooove shopping with McKayla. She totally knows what it's all about now and she loves picking things out. She picks really cute things too...just check out the new fluffy white boots she bought (yes, I said she bought cause then Todd can't get mad at me...hehehe).
