Potty Training- Day 1 Success
Since we were home all day I decided to put Bodie in his big boy undies and see what happened. He ABSOLUTELY loved it and did a great job. I put him in them with no diaper all day (except nap time) and he had NO accidents :-). He'll be at school tomorrow so he'll need to wear a diaper (I'll ask them to work with him though), and I figure we can try again on Thursday when I'm working from home and then all weekend...here's crossing fingers that he's potty trained by Thanksgiving :-). Very proud of our big boy!

Mini Vaca
We took a little mini vaca this past week and headed up to Park City with the kids. It was nice to relax and have no plans! We enjoyed our room, the steam shower, hot tub, pool and restaurants. We also enjoyed wandering around the Canyons and shopping at the outlets. It was some much needed family time :-)

This week I'm thankful for...
- A much needed family vaca
-The steam shower at our hotel (seriously, that thing was AWESOME and helped mine and Bodie's colds)
- Watching my babies sleep next to each other...they thought it was SO fun
- Watching Todd with the kids...he's an AMAZING Dad
- Living in a country where I have the right to vote
- Watching my babies sneak into our room together...REALLY can't get over how cute it is and how McKayla helps Bodie in the mornings
- Todd's "safe" bike ride
- A sweet message my hubby left me on our kitchen chalk board
- McKayla's teacher telling me McKayla was the nicest to the new girl in class and helped her adjust/join in
- Bodie making us all crack up in the hotel room

Last weekend
On Sunday Todd had a work bowling party that we were all able to attend. This was Bodie's 1st time bowling so McKayla showed him the ropes and they both had a ball.

Halloween 2012
The kids both had Halloween Parties at school so they dressed as Superman and a Kitty. McKayla got to go trick-or-treating at two convalescent homes as well. I picked them up early from school and we had friends and family meet at our house before heading out to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood. GiGi even brought them special treat bags to get their night kicked off. We've actually never done more than a few houses around ours so it was really fun to actually do the full night in our neighborhood and it ended up being perfect...LOTS of kids out, many houses participating, flat ground, sidewalks, ect. There were even police patrolling for us and they stopped to say "Hi" to the kids. We went back to our house after for snacks, drinks and letting the kids check out their candy. This year was by far one of my favorite (if not my favorite) Halloweens. McKayla had SO much fun running the neighborhood with her friend Lilly (she took a fall at the first house and Lilly wouldn't leave her side until she was all better...SO CUTE!). She loved having her friends at her house to celebrate. Bodie was SO cute this year...he was running right along with the big kids even when his bag was way to heavy for him to carry (he just dragged it behind him). He wouldn't let me help much, but he was LOVING having Aunt Nonnie help him. It was so much fun to see him fully engaged this year. Todd had to go into work after everyone left, but I loved having him home for the festivities and McKayla and I had a chance to clean the house up and then have a sleepover in my bed (til Todd came home :-) ).
| He found a seat while out and decided to take a rest :-) |
| Police man stopping to say hello |
