Time off part 1

I took some PTO over the last week and tried to do as much fun stuff as I could with the kids and Todd. We enjoyed all the time together and I have to admit it was hard to come back to work (for both me and the kids), but I'm sure it'll be good to get back into a routine (we had NONE while I was out). I didn't take pictures of everything, but I figured that's good...it means I was in the moment rather than trying to capture everything with a camera ;-). We enjoyed play dates, the zoo, splashpark, pool time, a movie, donut mornings, BBQs, sleepovers, frozen yogurt dates and I got to spend a day/night with my best girlfriends while our Linz was in town.

Busy Weekend

Last weekend was a BUSY one. We started with a family bday dinner Friday for my sister who turned 30. On Saturday, we went from a bday party at Chuck-e-Cheese to the splash park to a wedding and ended the night at my sister's house for another birthday celebration (I think we were home for a total of 30 minutes that day). Sunday, we worked around the house doing a massive clean up while the kids played with neighbor friends. By Sunday night we were all beyone done. Monday night, we were all still totally worn out! The best part about the weekend though was that Todd took three days off so he was able to come with us to everything....the kids and I LOVED that.

Father's Day 2014

TJ had to work Father's Day this year so we started the celebrations early with a brunch at my parent's house on Saturday. The kids actually started even earlier making him breakfast in bed on Thursday and Friday after I had gone to work. They did it all by themselves making him 3 slices of bread (they thought was toasted) with Bischoff spread and then waffles with sprinkles the next day. The brunch was really fun and a great time for us to say thank you to my dad and Todd. They are wonderful men who care so much for their families. Along with them, Todd's dad and my grandfather, I know I'm the luckiest girl and my kids are increcibly lucky to have these men to look up to. We couldn't ask for better! On Sunday, we took Todd to brunch and the kids had some more little cards/gifts to give him that they made at school :-)

Lemonade Stand and Snowbird

We had our first ever Johnson lemonade stand last weekend and it was so much fun. We had some friends come to join in and the neighbors were very kind to the kids (they made way more than I ever would've guessed). After such hard work, the kids had fun playing in the sprinklers/pool, riding in their cars and have a little pizza lunch (thx to TJ for grabbing it!).
We also went up to Snowbird last weekend for the first outdoor movie of the year. This time it was Incredibles and since that's Bodie's favorite movie we knew we had to go. The best part was that after having dessert at Todd's restaurant he was able to leave work and come to the movie with us. Snuggling up under the stars with warm hot chocolate as a family was the BEST. The kids also had a blast before the movie dancing around with all the other kids they met up there.
